Our client in Philadelphia needs a consultant for 2 to 3 weeks to advise them how to approach multi-currency implementation in their systems. Their systems are not real-time applications for the most part. They would like some advice on the best approach to take given their business objectives and systems structure. They would like to know how SAP or JD Edwards handles multi-currency in their systems, because this may work for the client’s systems as well.

The person required needs to understand potential approaches to implementing multi-currency and their implications for application systems and financial accounting. The analysis required would include a review with client of their objectives, and the pros and cons of each approach, given their objectives, and a recommendation. I expect that a short document would be an appropriate deliverable in this case. This person won*t need to have direct understanding of client*s systems or technology platform.

Client understands that the person with the right skills may not be available to come out there for a continuous week or two. If that is the case, our person could go there for a day or two and then return a bit later to continue the analysis. Ideally, we*d want to have the person come in and wrap up this assignment within 2 weeks

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Recycling Business Analyst/JD Edwards Technical Support Specialist, reporting to Director of Information Services, will be responsible for ongoing technical support and maintenance of the Recycling System as implemented within the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP System. The ideal candidate will have five to ten years experience as a business analyst and JD Edwards technical support specialist.

SAMPLE OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide end user technical support of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP Recycling System, trouble-shoot and resolve user issues in a timely manner, documenting steps taken to do so and ensuring customer satisfaction at the user and executive level.
Analyze and document business processes and requirements, while working with end users and developers to design, configure, test, and deploy new functionality.
Monitor and improve data collection and reporting procedures for efficiency and optimization.
Develop custom detail reports to meet the requirements of Recycling management and staff.
Conduct ongoing training for Recycling System end users.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor degree and/or 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
Exceptional working knowledge of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP System core modules and module interrelationships, with particular emphasis on the Financial, Sales, Purchasing and Inventory modules.
Hands-on experience in providing end user technical support within the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne operating environment.
Demonstrated report writing and query skills utilizing tools such as ERW and ShowCase.
Proficient with Microsoft Desktop applications.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and problem resolution skills.
Proven work history of successful project/task delivery; including ability to manage multiple projects of a broad range and scope with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Certifications in IS related discipline
Background in finance and accounting.
