Description


Manage the daily activities for the Storage Group of the Product Services Department.  Direct the activities of two hourly employees on inventory issues in the Distribution Center and Shipping Groups. Manage the Canton Mill inventory process and maintain appropriate procedures and documentation for physical inventories.  Establish and maintain the procedures for Blue Ridge outside warehousing, Canton job lot sales and Canton broke sales for paper and board.
 

  • Manage the daily activities for the 11 employees of the Storage Group in Product Services to insure that the receiving and distribution of product is done in a safe and efficient manner.  Train and develop personnel in job duties, safety requirements, team concepts, etc. to improve the overall effectiveness of the group.
  • Direct the activities involving the inventory procedures for all Canton paper and board inventories.  Work with accounting and external auditors to insure that mill practices meet their requirements.  Coordinate semiannual cycle counts for all mill paper and board inventories.  Maintain complete records of the results of cycle counts and prepare reports for management, accounting and the auditors.
  • Manage the outside warehousing program for the Canton Mill and Waynesville Plant.  Set up the OptiVISION system to support the program.  Communicate the requirements of the program to sales, outside warehouses, customers and management.  Maintain complete inventory and billing records for these outside warehouses.  
  • Coordinate maintenance and procurement for Paper Loading, Board Loading, Distribution Center and Roll Storage.
  • Assist in managing Paper Loading, Board Loading, Distribution Center and Roll Storage as need.  Manage those areas when the regular manager is absent.
  • Coordinate the procedures for job lot and broke sales.  Provide direction to sales, production   and systems as necessary to satisfy accounting and auditor requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance and reports to sales, production, accounting, systems and other areas as needed.  Assist in developing training for the various areas.

An opening is currently available for a Senior Accountant at Fastener Innovation Technology in Gardena, CA.

 

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, accounts receivables, monthly estimates and budget. They will also prepare monthly financial reports within the established timetable, prepare and distribute various monthly analyses including price, labor and expense, margin analysis, efficiencies and other performance reports. This individual will prepare journal entries as they relate to inventory flow and standard cost variances, reconcile month-end inventory balances, and maintain all standard costs and all sub-systems thereto. Other duties include assisting in planning, auditing and reconciling physical inventories; payroll administration, and other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

 

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in general and/or cost accounting is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment. This individual will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the proven ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet stringent deadlines. Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills are required. Experience with JD Edwards and timekeeping and payroll software is preferred.

The Property Accountant will be responsible for property level general ledger accounting (expenses and fixed assets), monthly financial reporting and analysis (p&l and balance sheet), assisting in the annual budget process and special projects as assigned. The Accountant will be part of a team related to his or her portfolio of assets, including the asset manager, property manager, lease administrator and property assistant. This Position requires initiative, accuracy, excellent analytical and communication skills, and good judgment. The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of property level financial information and facilitate the timely reporting of financial information. The Property Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager, but will work very closely with other members within the organization. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate strong communication skills, and enjoy a fast paced environment. This individual must be willing to get involved in detail processes and procedures and work with a variety of individuals at different levels within the organization. level financial information and facilitate the timely reporting of financial information.

PM/BA – JD Edwards

We have an immediate need for an experienced PM/BA with JDE experience to deliver automated solutions for business processes, providing measurable efficiencies. Scope primarily includes enhancing current customized export control processes in JDE order management and shipping, integrating both custom and Export 3rd party software. Responsibilities include defining business requirements, converting the same into technical requirements, performing development and technical tasks to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

* Customer project relationship and satisfaction
* Project management for planning through execution and post implementation
* Business requirements, system design and documentation
* Programming and testing
* Technical and functional problem solving analysis
* Ensuring project compliance to SDLC standards and Sarbanes Oxley requirements

Education:

BA/BS in an information technology related required. MS preferred.

Experience / Qualifications:

6-10+ years IT business application development and support experience, including project management, business analysis, technical design, programming, testing and implementation strategies with ERP order to distribution processes.

Software / systems familiarity (preferred, not limited to): JDE- multiple platforms, JDE order to distribution, export and business intelligence applications, and Microsoft Office. Documentum and .NET a plus.
