Financial Analyst

 Description

Position coordinates financial planning, analysis and reporting function.  Sr. Financial Analyst works closely with the GM to develop forecasts and budgets, manage the financial results and analyze trends.  The Analyst supports senior management and functional heads to evaluate financial impacts of business and operational strategies, acquisitions and investment business cases.  The Analyst provides timely and accurate financial information for Solutions senior management to assist them in running their operations.

 

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all forecasting and analytical functions of the business unit, including all forecasting cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual and 3 year strategic plan) and close coordination with the corporate office
  • Provide financial analysis for all investment business cases and participate in the development and execution of business initiatives that align with and support the Company’s overall strategies
  • Develop and provide management and operations reports, dashboards, and other information to run the business and to support Corporate Finance
  • Develop, implement, maintain and monitor meaningful forward looking indicators and key business metrics, and translate observed trends into meaningful business analysis and recommendations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly senior management reporting of consolidated results including variance analysis; corporate reporting and executive summary reports,
  • Contribute to management discussion and analysis commentary
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Director of Financial, Planning & Analysis and their teams to support overall reporting objectives
  • Work directly with finance and operations leadership to develop operational and financial efficiency
  • Prepare management presentations to management
  • Ad-hoc projects for senior management and parent company

 

 

Experience:

Required Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor Degree, Qualified accountant (CPA preferred)

·         Minimum of 6 years experience in broad based financial related positions, including accounting operations and financial planning, analysis and reporting

·         Extensive experience in a variety of accounting and financial application, particularly ERPs. Experience with JD Edwards and PM10 is a plus 

·         Detail orientated with strong analytical skills

·         Expert user of MS Office applications particularly Excel. Access experience is desirable.
