Programmer Analyst

The Programmer Analyst is responsible for providing world-class solutions and support for a range of business applications and processes for multiple FUJIFILM Companies. This includes the functional design and technical development of business solutions in the ERP system and day to day operational support. Further to the primary support duties the individual will be responsible for the technical implementation of applications, application releases, enhancements, interfaces to external systems, and review, analyze and recommend industry solutions to support the business.


Describe the major duties & responsibilities that are performed & percentage of time spent:

  • Manage assigned projects through the full project lifecycle. Evaluate and act on corrective actions to stay on schedule for projects.
  • Adheres to IT project management process and standards utilized for the requirements gathering, design, implementation and deployment of approved project.
  • Provides operational support for break/fix and continual enhancements.
  • Adheres to IT change control procedures for both projects and support.
  • Strong team player that is able to lead discussions with the business to define business processes and translate business requirements into functional system requirements.
  • Solid analytical capabilities to evaluate issues or new business requirements.
  • Able to translate business requirements into functional requirements and design and develop the optimal technical solution.
  • Maximize the use of ERP application for the benefit of the user community.
  • Where appropriate, trains end users on new enhancements or functionality as required and develop user manuals and documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate work of consultants when necessary.
  • Develops and adheres to best practice programming standards.
  • Researches and utilizes new programming techniques and methods where appropriate.
  • Identifies opportunities to modify existing solutions to better utilize technology, optimize performance, and simplify support.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously successfully through planning and prioritization.
  • Works with the End User Support group to ensure timely and continuous communication regarding application support.
  • Take full responsibility for all testing methodologies of software implementations.
  • Share knowledge and applications across multiple businesses and IT groups.

Overall Job Summary: Top level information specialist whom may act as an internal consultant on the most complex technical issues; demonstrated capacity for work group management is required to progress. Individuals in this position lead and advise others on complex systems analysis, programming, or systems administration tasks, manage the most complex projects, serve as primary technical contact for a work group or project teams, work under severe deadlines and workload, assist with objectives development, and work independently to complete tasks. Primary Accountabilities include: Primary internal consultant leading systems analysis, systems management, and systems implementation projects; Subject matter expert advising management and work group members on complex information technology issues; Work under extreme task loads with complete understanding of client business practices and requirements; Assist with objectives definition, determine tasks, work independently, provide technical work center leadership; Represent organization; serve as primary organizational contact on technically difficult projects; Advise top business and technical management on complex technical problems and advanced technical research; Train less experienced work group members on specific tasks and business and technical processes.
